Huber, professor of Chemical Engineering at UW-Madison and director for Chemical Upcycling of Waste Plastics.
Kevin Nelson (Amcor) is a Senior Fellow in Amcor’s Global Core R&D Group. He received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979 and joined The Bemis Company immediately thereafter. Throughout his career, Kevin has continued to broaden his experience with respect to the creation of high barrier flexible packaging structures. His current research focuses on understanding process/material and product/package interactions. Kevin has been awarded four Bemis President’s Awards for Outstanding Technical Achievement and is an inventor of 25 U.S. patents.
George W. Huber is the Harvey Spangler Professor of Chemical Engineering at UW-Madison. His research focus is developing new catalytic processes for the production of renewable liquid fuels and chemicals. He is the Director for Chemical Upcycling of Waste Products (www.cuwp.com) and the co-founder of Anellotech (www.anellotech) and Pyran (www.pryanco.com). In 2007, he served as the chair of the NSF and DOE workshop, Breaking the Chemical and Engineering Barriers to Cellulosic Biofuels.
