Marty, per our past conversations and written correspondence, I am writing again to share gratitude for the Green Bay Innovation Group’s $5,000 gift Apricity received last November 2023. Your generous gift was applied to establish a match for Apricity’s year-end fundraising campaign that launched at the end of November 2023 and concluded January 15, 2024. The Green Bay Innovation Group (GBIG), along with two other donors provided a combined total match of $20,000, and enabled Apricity to raise almost $43,000 (including the match) to provide treatment, recovery supportive employment, housing and services to people with substance use disorders in 2024!
Your gift was a meaningful lift to Apricity that catapulted other donor giving, making an even bigger impact on programs that support our clients, transitional employees and sober living participants we serve. Thank you!
Were you aware Apricity raises funds for their programs that support people with substance use disorders year-round? We do this through grant requests, donor direct asks and two fundraising campaigns. Individuals and businesses may donate to Apricity anytime via the donate button on our website. Apricity also hosts two fundraising campaigns, where match funds are established to help encourage even greater giving. These fundraising campaigns are as follows and raise funds for all of our treatment and recovery programs:
- Recovery Month (runs throughout the month of Sept.)
- Year-End Appeal (runs end of November through January 15)
It is most difficult for Apricity to find individuals and businesses to help establish a match to support our Year-End Appeal. In our recent conversation, you graciously committed $5,000 to support Apricity in 2024. It would be most helpful if you would agree to have those funds help establish a $15,000-$20,000 match we look to obtain for our 2024 Year-End Appeal.
With this $5,000 gift for the Year-End Appeal, GBIG would:
be mentioned in social media (Facebook, Instagram), mass eblasts and direct mail to over 600 individuals/businesses closely connected to Apricity from the end of November 2024 through January 15, 2025. Support Apricity treatment, recovery employment, housing and recovery support services for clients in our services with substance use disorders that help them find a new path in life. be able to issue a check to Apricity before the end of October, which you were hoping could happen with this gift.
If GBIG is amenable to utilizing $5,000 to help establish the Year-End Appeal match, please confirm by September 1, 2024. Thank you for your consideration.
In the meantime, please watch for our 2023 Annual Report to be mailed and emailed before June. I also am sharing notes of thanks from several of our Apricity’s Contract Packaging (our recovery employment program) employees who are learning job and soft-skills while receiving recovery support and earning an income.
