Jeffrey D. Lindsay has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering (Brigham Young University and has been a registered U.S. patent agent since 1997. Jeff is a member of TAPPI, the National Association of Patent Practitioners, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). He has been an AIChE Fellow since 2014 and was director of the Forest Bioproducts Division for many years. Previously Jeff was Corporate Patent Strategist at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Head of IP at Asia Pulp and Paper (China), a Director at Innovationedge, and associate professor at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology (now RBI). Every year since 2015, Jeff has been recognized as a leading IP strategist globally by IAM Media Group (UK) in their IAM 300 Strategy list. Jeff now lives in Appleton, Wisconsin and is President of Planet Lindsay, LLC, where he assists clients with intellectual property and technical work in a variety of fields including sustainable packaging, personal care products, and LED lighting. With Cheryl Perkins of Innovation edge, Jeff was a co-author of Conquering Innovation Fatigue (John Wiley & Sons, July 2009), which explores solutions for overcoming barriers to innovation success.
