For Andrew Otto, Vice President – Treasury Management at First Business Bank, the best way to help a manufacturer is to understand how money moves through the business, from every angle. More than a decade into the field, that perspective now anchors how he serves clients across Northeast Wisconsin.
“I’ve found that 5P companies appreciate a partnership with us and are open to the expertise and outside viewpoint we bring to their businesses to help them improve cash management, payments, fraud protection, and ultimately, efficiency,” Otto says. “What matters even more to them is that we’re reachable when they have a question, and we do what we say we’ll do.”
Otto’s career in banking began through the operations side, starting as an implementation specialist before moving into sales analysis, then as a treasury analyst lead, then working directly with clients as a Treasury Management expert. Before banking, he spent more than five years at J.J. Keller & Associates in Neenah, working with trucking and transportation companies on regulatory permits and compliance. That client-service foundation gave him early exposure to the operational realities of businesses that move product, manage vendor networks, and run on tight margins. He brings that perspective to his clients daily as he works to bring them solutions to improve their back office functions.
Based in Appleton, Otto works with business owners and finance teams across Northeast Wisconsin, helping them strengthen cash flow, protect against payment fraud, and tighten the mechanics behind payroll, supplier payments, and daily cash positioning. For the region’s 5P operations in packaging, paper, plastics, printing, and converting, that often means banking setups built to handle high supplier payment volume, multi-facility cash positioning, and mitigating the fraud exposure that comes with vendor networks.
5P owners who work with Otto get the full weight of a treasury team built around client service, with the local expertise, responsiveness, and depth to handle the operational realities of a manufacturing business.
