For Jerimiah Janssen, Vice President II – Commercial Banking at First Business Bank, growing up in De Pere with parents who worked in manufacturing instilled a deep respect for the people who build, fix, convert, and ship real products every day. That perspective continues to shape how he serves clients.
“The manufacturers I work with give everything to their businesses,” Janssen says. “I have tremendous respect for their commitment and accountability to their businesses and their people — and that’s what drives me to be a reliable, knowledgeable partner.”
With more than two decades in business banking, Janssen works closely with family-owned manufacturers where capital decisions are inseparable from people decisions — hiring, equipment, capacity, and succession. His approach is grounded in how manufacturing actually operates, from capital intensity and working-capital cycles to customer concentration risk.
That operational fluency matters because challenges rarely appear in isolation. A “simple” equipment purchase can ripple through inventory, labor, lead times, and cash flow. Janssen’s goal is to structure financing that supports the business plan — without constraining the company when cycles shift.
Outside the bank, Janssen serves on the board of the Green Bay Innovation Group (GBIG), supporting collaboration across the region’s packaging, paper, plastics, printing, and converting community.
“The companies in the 5P industries are problem-solvers at their core,” he says. Whether financing equipment, expanding facilities, or managing seasonal cash flow, his focus remains the same: aligning financial structure with strategy and keeping decision-making grounded in how the business operates.
