Appleton, WI is located on the Fox River with a population of 73,970. The area got the name Paper Valley with the highest concentration of Paper and Pulp mills in the world! Appleton Paper was a major leader in Paper Technology with 4,500 employees. Appleton was a very innovative company leading the nation in product development. Today, Appvion formerly Appleton Paper has close to five hundred employees being a leader in coating technologies and no longer in paper making. Unfortunately, the number of paper companies is a fraction of the past. However, Paper Valley is a powerhouse in the 5P and Converting Industries with over one hundred companies.
