Spartan Products, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the water-based division of FasTech Adhesives of Streamwood, IL following FasTech’s recent sale to Chemline, Inc. of St. Louis, MO earlier this year. The acquisition, which closed on November 25, 2025, allows Chemline to focus on the reactive polyurethane chemistry that aligns with their existing business and allows Spartan Products to focus on the water-based adhesive and coating products for which our organization is best known.
As part of the acquisition, former Technical Director of FasTech Adhesives, Dave Millar, has joined Spartan Products in the same role and will lead product development, technical support, and process improvement efforts in the water-based adhesive and coating markets. Dave brings multiple decades of experience in the adhesive and coating business and a wealth of knowledge in chemical processing and formulating. Most importantly, Dave and the FasTech team share our values: a commitment to partnership, a mindset of continuous improvement, and a culture of integrity.
Founded in 1974, Spartan Products is a family-owned adhesive and coating manufacturer located in the Chicago suburbs that primarily serves manufacturers in paper, textile, and industrial sectors. The FasTech Adhesive water-based operations will be consolidated into the existing Spartan Products manufacturing facility in Crystal Lake, Illinois before the end of the year.
